Maternity Photography

Making the decision whether to have some photographs taken whilst you are pregnant may feel, at first, a bit daunting. But it is a good decision to make.  Creating a personal record of this very special time through photography is fantastic. It is a time when your body is very beautiful, with increased blood flow to the skin the complexion just glows, and hair is full and shiny, add to this, the air of expectation and excitement of those last few weeks and you get a wonderful record of one of the most special times in your life. It is a privilege to take your photograph at this time.

A good time for the session is from around 36 weeks. The photo sessions are very relaxed and tend to be filled with laughter. I use only available light and this give a very soft and flattering image. I bring with me a selection of fabrics, drapes and wraps which can be used to flatter and enhance your shape. Taking images in black and white is also great for creating a superb skin tone (so don't worry if you have stretchmarks or scars). The session can include your partner and other children too.

The fee for a Maternity Photography session is £75 this includes two 5” x 7.5” prints in frames plus 5 additional unframed 5” x 7.5” prints.

Your Newborn Baby Photography

Celebrating the arrival of your new baby with photography is a wonderful way to preserve the memories of those first special weeks. For newborn baby session I come to your home at a time convenient for you, we let your baby dictate the pace and stop for feeds, changes and naps. Again the sessions are very relaxed, I allow plenty of time so there is no rush to get the shots and use only available light, so there is no flash or bright lights to disturb the baby. There is no perfect time to photograph a new baby; the first couple of weeks give us an opportunity to capture the curled foetal position which soon disappears and is replaced with wide open eyes and even some smiles. It is important that you choose the time that is right for you. We can include your partner and brothers and sisters and even grandparents if they are around.

The fee for a Newborn Photography session is £75 this includes two 5” x 7.5” prints in frames plus 5 additional unframed 5” x 7.5” prints.

If you would like to book pregnancy and newborn sessions together I offer a package at a fee of £130 this includes 4  5” x 7.5” prints in frames plus 10 additional 5” x 7.5” prints.

Family Portrait

Capturing an image of a child as a parent sees them is always a challenge for a photographer, these sessions take place in your home or location of your choice, as a mum I know that children are at their most relaxed when playing so we could head off to the park, beach, wood or even just out to the garden. Very soon they forget the camera is there. Using this relaxed style I am able to provide you with a range of images that reflect your family and all the expressions that make your child so unique. A family portrait session can last for up to one hour. 

The fee for a Family Photography session is £75 this includes two 5” x 7.5” prints in frames plus 5 additional unframed 5” x 7.5” prints.

The small print!

The session fee is payable on booking, should you need to cancel the session a £25 cancellation fee is payable.
